Apart from smartphones, Xiaomi sells quite a few power banks. Its newest offering for the Indian market is the new 10,000mAh power bank with a USB Type-C port. The Mi Power Power Bank Pro was first launched in China earlier this year. It is listed on the company’s website with a price tag of Rs 1,999 but is not yet available to buy. Hopefully it will be available soon.
The power bank features an aluminium body with high-density Lithium polymer batteries. It has nine layers of circuit chip protection built by Texas Instruments, so it gets protection from temperature, short circuit, overvoltage, incorrect insertion, output overvoltage, overcharge, and also offers reset mechanism.
The power bank features a USB Type-C and a USB Type-A port. It can output power using the USB Type-A port and can be charged using the Type-C connector. It also features two-way fast charging technology, so basically it can charge devices faster and also charges fast. According to the company it takes 3.5 hours to fully charge the power bank and it can charge a 3050mAh Android phone in 1 hour 50 minutes.
The Mi Power Bank Pro is also safe for low power charging devices like a Bluetooth headphone or a smart watch. The power bank can charge a 3000mAh Android phone for more than twice and iPhone 6 for four times. The company says it has 93 per cent conversion rate, which means it has minimum output capacity of 7000mAh.
