Whether or not Daniel Craig would feature in the upcoming Bond movies was a matter of intense speculation; however, it now seems the British actor has given the nod to not one, but two of spy franchise's upcoming installments. Previously, Craig had refuted any possibilities of him reprising the role of James Bond and he even went on saying that he would rather slash his wrists than returning as the character, reported a 2015 piece by The Telegraph.

According to a report by The Sun, the actor will be essaying the role of the world's most celebrated spy ever, in the upcoming two films. While other actors were considered for the part, producer Barbara Broccoli managed to convince Craig to return. After all, he has sort-of revived the James Bond movie franchise and brought enormous profits, hence losing him was not a wise option, according to the makers.
It was already reported that the 25th venture, seemingly titled Shatterhand, is scheduled to release in 2019. It will be based on Raymond Benson's 2001 novel Never Dream of Dying. The film shows Bond on an adventure in Croatia where he meets a famous French movie star and develops a romantic liaison with her. He chances upon Mignonne's blind husband who eventually turns out to be the criminal mastermind behind the organisation known as the Union.
If the two-film deal is to be believed, Craig will be the first Bond actor to have six films to his credit. The other film, apart from the supposed Shatterhand, is reported to be a remake of 1969’s On Her Majesty’s Secret Service, directed by Peter R Hunt. The film will show Bond getting married and later losing his wife.
