Netflix's acclaimed crime-drama Narcos is all set to return with its third season very soon. The teaser of season 3 was launched sometime back in mid-July and it presented the drug universe after the death of the biggest drugs kingpin, Pablo Escobar. Now, the trailer is also out and it looks gritty and intense — packed with even more drug lords, gun-shots, cocaine and power battles.

The upcoming season 3 takes us to the city of Cali in Colombia and shifts focus from Escobar's Medellín. The Cali cartel develops into a network that was, in time, larger and more profitable than anything the country's most famous narco-terrorist ever created.
The trailer starts with Escobar's power display to establish the fact what kind of a force he was at his prime and then eventually shows the pinning down of the drug mafia mastermind, as depicted in season 2. The trailer says, "Cocaine cartels are about succession." This season is based on that succession of power post-Escobar's reign.
The Cali cartel has become one of the largest drug-trafficking organisations in the world, spearheaded by the brothers — Miguel and Gilberto Orejuela — along with Pacho Herrera and Chepe Santacruz Londono; the four of them channel the illicit drug trade making the organisation one of "the biggest cocaine cartels in the world." They have become so powerful that they started operating as a corporate and as the trailer suggests, "like a Fortune 500 company."
The upcoming series also marks the return of the DEA agent Javier Peña, played by Pedro Pascal (Oberyn Martell from Game of Thrones).
The series stars Damian Alcazar (Gilberto), Francisco Denis (Miguel), Alberto Ammann (Pacho) and Pepe Rapazote (Chepe) as the Cali cartel masterminds.
Narcos season 3 will start streaming on Netflix on 1 September.
