On June 28, Secretary Michael R. Pompeo spoke with Foreign Minister Kang of the Republic of Korea to discuss next steps on DPRK engagement after the historic Singapore summit. Secretary Pompeo and Foreign Minister Kang agreed that pressure must continue until the DPRK denuclearizes. Secretary Pompeo and Foreign Minister Kang affirmed the strength of the U.S.-ROK Alliance and vowed to continue close coordination.
