On October 13, Deputy Secretary of State John J. Sullivan met in Manama with representatives from various Bahraini civil and religious organizations for a discussion on tolerance and religious freedom.

The Deputy Secretary emphasized the important role a dynamic civil society plays in establishing a platform for addressing challenges, and helping Bahrain build and sustain a model of coexistence.
