The U.S. Department of State is pleased to welcome Pavilion USA 2020’s images and plans for the proposed U.S. pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai. The U.S. pavilion, entitled “What Moves You? The Spirit of Mobility,” will highlight the best of U.S. commerce and culture in the field of transportation and mobility.

Pavilion USA 2020 presented plans for the architecture, design, and experience of the U.S. pavilion at events in Dubai and Abu Dhabi. Pavilion USA 2020 launched a new website (www.pavilion2020.org) that contains two short videos on the pavilion's themes and exterior design, and also announced the U.S. pavilion’s first sponsors. The Department encourages private sector support of the U.S. pavilion, which receives no federally appropriated funds.

Representatives from the Department of State’s Expo Unit and the U.S. Mission to the United Arab Emirates joined Pavilion USA 2020 for the events at the conclusion of Expo 2020 Dubai’s 2018 International Participants Meeting held November 26-27 in Dubai, UAE.

Expo 2020 Dubai, which will take place October 20, 2020 – April 10, 2021, will be the first Expo (also known as a World’s Fair) to take place in the Middle East. It is expected to attract 25 million visitors from the region and around the world. The theme of Expo 2020 Dubai is Connecting Minds, Creating the Future, representing the potential of what can be achieved when meaningful collaborations and partnerships are forged.
