On behalf of the American people and the Government of the United States of America, I wish a joyous New Year to Nepalis across the world.

Our two countries share a long history of friendship and a common interest in a free and open order for the future. The vibrant Nepali diaspora community in the United States is a testament to the strength of our ties. We hope to deepen our cooperation with Nepal on regional and global issues in the year ahead.
