LastPass will now sync your passwords for free across all your devices

LastPass will now sync your passwords for free across all your devices

With all this news of email hacks, DNS and DDOS attacks, Windows and Android kernelvulnerabilities and more, it’s clear that data security is getting to be a big deal.
One of the simplest ways of protecting your data is by using a strong password. Passwords like Password and 123456 are still very common and only because they’re easy to remember. I mean, not everyone can go around memorising a dozen different passwords along the lines of K!@#$.,fds80, can they?
This is where password managers come in and in that space, LastPass has always been the most popular option. On Desktop, LastPass is a great option. To sync passwords across all your devices, however, you were required to pay a subscription fee of $1 (around Rs 67) per month. Until now.
LastPass has announced that their password manager will now be free for mutli-device use for all users. Non-paying members will see ads, but functionality and security will remain unaffected. Premium members will get bonuses in the form of no ads, the ability to share passwords with family, two-factor authentication and more.
“There is no “online” life and “offline” life – it’s just life, with technology seamlessly weaving in and out of our everyday experiences. In today’s connected world, we believe the best way to benefit from the security and convenience of LastPass is to have it on all your devices,” said LastPass’ Joe Siegrist on the company’s blog.
