Coolpad has announced the launch of its latest smartphone, the Note 5 Lite C. Note 5 Lite C will be available for purchase in the Indian market starting 5 August 2017. The phone will be available exclusively offline across 3,000 retail stores spread across the country. Coolpad has set the price of the device at Rs 7,777 with two colour options, Grey and Gold.

According to a report by TechPP, the Coolpad Note 5 Lite C will be the first smartphone by Coolpad to run Android 7.1 Nougat out of the box. It will come with 5-inch HD display with a pixel density of 294 PPI. The phone is powered by a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 201 clocked at 1.1-GHz along with Adreno 304 GPU.It sports 2 GB of RAM with 16 GB internal storage and an expandable microSD card slot. Users can add microSD cards with the capacity of about 64 GB to add to the existing 16 GB. The phone weighs approximately 140 gms and has dimensions of 142.4x70.4x7.95 mm.

In terms of design the phone will feature a full metal body design with a fingerprint sensor present on the backside. The company has packed the fingerprint sensor just below the camera module on the back. The bottom side of the phone features a 3.5 mm audio jack alongside a micro-USB slot and speaker grills.
In the optics department, the phone packs an 8 MP camera module with a f/2.4 aperture on the back along with a 5 MP camera module with a f/2.4 aperture on the front for selfies. The phone packs a 2500 mAh battery which, according to the claims by the company, can last up to 240 hours on standby. The phone also supports 4G-LTE compatible dual-SIMs in terms of connectivity options.
The Note 5 Lite C is the watered down version of the Note 5 Lite which was launched at a price of Rs 8,199 earlier this year exclusively on Amazon.
