OnePlus has rolled out OxygenOS Open Beta 21 its OnePlus 3 smartphone and Open Beta 12 for the OnePlus 3T. The updates albeit in Beta stage bring in some new additions while improving the core operating system stability and updating the built-in apps to latest versions.

The company announced the new update in a blog post on the OnePlus forum. This new Open Beta version comes almost three weeks after the roll out of One Beta 20 for OnePlus 3 and Open Beta 11 for the OnePlus 3T. One of the key highlights of this update in addition to the updated internal apps like OnePlus Launcher, Gallery and File Manager is the feature called ‘Parallel Files’.
This gives you the ability to run multiple instances of any given app. This means that you can operate two WhatsApp accounts on the same smartphone without the need to buy another phone. We have added the detailed changelog below for you to check about all the changes in the latest update.
New addition：

-All new parallel apps feature that lets you run a parallel version of the same app using a separate account. Right now this supports Facebook, Twitter, Whatsapp, and Instagram (and a few more popular apps

- Updated to Launcher V2.1.5 ：
-Optimized home screen folder icon, with a preview look of first 4 icons in the folder
-Redesigned UI for folders, allowing switch between folders by swiping left or right
-Added double finger slide support, you can now slide the home screen with one finger while using another to hold an item
- Updated to Gallery V1.8
-Supports light theme
-Supports opening RAW format images
-Updated File Manager to V1.7.1
-Long pressing search items now shows edit operations
Optimizations:
- Call histories from the same person will now be merged
Bug Fixes：
- Fixed increased battery consumption after connecting to a bluetooth device
As always, if you are running an Open Beta ROM on your OnePlus, you will have already received the above information as an OTA notification. Simply tap to update. If your fingers are itching and you want to try out the new features, you will need to refer to the detailed flashing instructions (and download links for the ROM) here.
Once you have switched to a Beta ROM, you will stop receiving updates for the stable ROMs that arrive for normal users. If you think of switching down the line, you will have to wipe your device completely to switch back to standard, stable, public ROMs, where you could lose your data.
