WhatsApp for Business should be out in a few months; Business Info page shows up on beta

We have been hearing about WhatsApp for Business since last year. The news about WhatsApp's business plans went from rumour to going official this year and WhatsApp even announced that it would start the service in India and that the country would play a crucial role in the earlier days.

Last we heard, the messaging giant is even tying up with the National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) to enable in-app UPI  payments.
A recent beta version of WhatsApp tagged as version 2.17.285 apart from adding additional features also seems to have connected its new Business service as WABetaInfo found out.
The post details how the new release brings users closer to the service being updated. The source estimates that WhatsApp for Business could be active in about 4 months from now.
It turns out that a few days ago, WhatsApp updates its servers, adding improvements to the synchronisation of the standard contacts list.

The improvement also adds verification, a feature like many social networks have in place to verify that the contact is really that person using the app. As things would turn out, the service can also check if it is a business contact. The source claims that all the details of the contact are saved in one database.
Shown above is a screenshot of what a WhatsApp for Business info page would look like. You have the usual profile picture, but there's now a verified tick mark next to the name. Below it appears the verified address followed by the business name, its official email address and website.
WABetaInfo points out that more than one website can be added to a business account making them flexible to an extent. Additionally, there will be other details related to the business like working hours that could be added later.
Since the new synchronisation server called uni-sync is already up and running, the source estimates that WhatsApp for Business should be very close to a launch.
