On behalf of the Government of the United States of America, I extend best wishes to the people of the Lao People’s Democratic Republic as you celebrate “Pi Mai Lao” from April 14 to 16.

Our broad cooperation is strong under the U.S.-Laos Comprehensive Partnership as well as through ASEAN and other multilateral forums. Our continued support for the Lao government’s development goals and our warm people-to-people ties demonstrate our commitment to further expanding and strengthening our relationship.

I wish all Lao people a New Year filled with joy and prosperity.
